The Study of Korean history education utilizing The Presidential Archives

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 역사적 사료이자 한국사 교육의 장(場)으로서의 대통령 기록관에 대한 활용방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 즉, 대통령기록물의 관리와 활용을 위한 하나의 방안으로서 대통령기록관을 활용한 온－오프라인상의 한국사 교육 방안들을 제시하였다.

첫째, 대통령기록관을 활용한 한국사 교육에 있어서 중요한 것은 문제기반학습(PBL) 교육방법의 중요성을 인지하고 이를 실천하는 것이 중요하다.
둘째, 대통령기록관 웹사이트에 다양한 멀티미디어(사진, 동영상, 책 등)의 활용과 에듀테인먼트(게임, 만화, 애니메이션 등) 콘텐츠를 도입해서 역대 대통령과 한국사에 대한 흥미 유발 및 이해에 도움을 주어야 한다. 그리고 다양한 궁금증이나 각자의 의견을 교환할 수 있는 공간으로서 SNS를 활용할 필요성이 있다. 이와 같이 기존의 대통령 기록관의 웹서비스에 대한 개선과 활용방안들이 수용된다면 진정한 의미의 가상박물관으로서의 기능을 가질 수 있게 된다.
셋째, 학생들이 능동적으로 참여하여 학습 목표를 해결해나 가는 문제학습기반(PBL)시나리오를 중심으로 대통령 기록관을 관람하는 것이다. 이러한 PBL시나리오는 학습자로 하여금 스스로 자신에게 역할과 학습목표를 부여하게 됨으로 능동적인 자세로 관람과 문제해결에 임하게 한다. 또한 교사도 학습 목표에 상응하는 시나리오를 작성하는 것이 중요하다.
넷째, 대통령기록관의 온라인과 오프라인 모두에 적용할 수 있는 방안으로서 대통령 기록관의 자료를 학교 교과 과정과 연계하여 그 활용도를 높이는 것이다. 또한 대통령 기록관의 자료를 학교 교과 과정과 연계하여 활용할 수 있는 수업 지도안을 대통령 기록관에서 자체적으로 제공한다면 학교 교육에 대한 동기유발의 요인이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study suggests the utilization of the Presidential Archives for the historic resource as well as the educational venue of Korean history.That is to say, the study suggests one of methods of both online and offline education in Korean history utilizing the Presidential Archives, at the same time, this can be one of the management system.

First, both recognizing value of ‘Problem-Based Learning’ and putting it into practice are important for education in Korean history by utilizing the Presidential Archives.
Second, we should make the best use of various multimedia(pictures, video clips, books etc.) and introduce edutainment contents(games, cartoons, animations etc.) so that students take interest in former presidents and Korean history. Those contents will be also helpful for students to understand history better. And social network services(SNS) are need to be used as social sphere for exchange of individual opinions, various curiosities. Concurrently, improvement of existing web services of the Presidential Archives by accepting utilizations will let it function as virtual museum in the true sense of the word.
Third, this study suggests to way students view the Presidential Archives to be concentrated on the PBL scenarios by participating actively so that they can solve the learning objectives. These PBL scenarios let learners take an active part in solving problems and watching the Presidential Archives for the learners give role and aims by themselves. In addition, it is important that teachers should prepare appropriate scenarios for the learning objectives.
Finally, utilization of the Presidential Archives should be raise its efficiency by connecting resources of the Presidential Archives to school curriculums. This method can be applied on both online and offline Presidential Archives. If the Presidential Archives provide an education guidance autonomously, it will be a motivation factor on school education.
