An Examination of social studies instruction and study material utilizing online contents of the presidential archives - focusing on development of suplementory material for the textbook

국문 초록

바람직한 민주시민 육성에 초점을 두고 있는 초등교육에 있어 한국 현대사의 각종 기록들은 그 시대를 직접 경험할 수 없는 현(現)세대에게 매우 각별한 의미를 가지고 있다. 하지만, 학교현장에서는 자료의 접근성으로 인해 대통령기록물이라는 ‘자료의 바다’를 충분히 경험하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에본 연구자는 대통령기록물을 활용한 초등 5학년 사회과 교수－학습자료개발을 주제로 본 연구를 추진하였다.
본 자료 개발을 통해 학교 현장에서 생동감있게 대통령기록물을 사회과 수업에 활용하는데 궁극적인 연구의 목적을 두었다.

영문 초록

In terms of elementary education that focuses on fostering a desirable democratic citizen, all sorts of records of Korea's modern history mean a lot to the current generation who did not experience those times. However, in the education field, it seems to be still very difficult to experience the 'sea of information' called the presidential archives due to the inaccessibility to the materials. Hence this researcher carried forward research based on the development of instruction and materials in grade 5 social studies.
The ultimate goal of the development of materials is that the teachers in the field are able to make full use of the presidential archives.
